Lawrence Barr, MD

Dr. Lawrence Barr is a cardiologist at Midwest Cardiovascular Institute in Elmhurst.

Dr. Barr attended Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy and a medical doctorate. His internship and residency in internal medicine was completed at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan. His fellowships in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology were completed at Northwestern University Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois.

Dr. Barr is board certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and a member of the American Heart Association. He is a former Chief of Cardiology, former President of Medical Staff, and former chairman of the Institutional Review Board at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital. He has been a principal and sub-principal investigator for more than 30 cardiovascular research trials.
