About Elmer Murdock, MD
Dr. Elmer Murdock is an interventional cardiologist at Midwest Cardiovascular Institute in Elmhurst.
Dr. Murdock attended Santa Monica College in Santa Monica, California where he earned an associate’s degree in physiology and graduated with highest honors. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in major psychobiology with a minor in Russian literature at the University of California (UCLA) in Los Angeles where he graduated magna cum laude. He earned his doctorate at Tel Aviv University Sackler School of Medicine through the New York State/American Program.
Dr. Murdock completed his internal medicine residency at UCLA’s Wadsworth VA Internal Medicine Residency Program. His fellowship in cardiovascular disease was completed at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Additionally, his interventional cardiology fellowship was completed at University of Arizona Medical Center in Tucson, Arizona.
Dr. Murdock is board certified in internal medicine, cardiology, nuclear cardiology, transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography, and cardiac computed tomography. He is a member of the American College of Cardiology, the Society of Cardiac Angiography and Interventions and the American College of Physicians.
