About Francisco G. Aguilar, MD, FACC, FHRS
Dr. Francisco Aguilar is a board-certified cardiac electrophysiologist specializing in the treatment of cardiac arrhythmias and advanced electrophysiology procedures. His expertise includes atrial fibrillation ablation, ventricular tachycardia ablation, pacemaker implantation, implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs), cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT), and leadless cardiac devices.
Dr. Aguilar earned his medical degree from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine and completed his internal medicine residency at Yale New Haven Hospital. He went on to complete fellowships in cardiology and cardiac electrophysiology at Tufts Medical Center.
He served as Director of the Electrophysiology Lab at UChicago Medicine AdventHealth Hinsdale Hospital and is actively involved in cardiovascular research, physician education, and leadership within the American College of Cardiology. Dr. Aguilar is fluent in both English and Spanish.
