About Kousik Krishnan, MD
Dr. Kousik Krishnan is an electrophysiologist at Midwest Cardiovascular Institute in Naperville.
Dr. Krishnan attended Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas where he graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical and biomedical engineering. His Doctor of Medicine was completed at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School, also in Dallas.
Dr. Krishnan completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at Barnes-Jewish Hospital at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. His fellowship in cardiovascular disease was completed at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia, and his fellowship in clinical cardiac electrophysiology was completed at Barnes-Jewish Hospital- Washington University in St. Louis.
Dr. Krishnan is board certified in cardiology, and clinical cardiac electrophysiology. He is a fellow of the Heart Rhythm Society and the American College of Cardiology, serving on the Electrophysiology Council. He was also the Head Team Cardiologist for the Chicago Bulls, Chicago White Sox and Chicago Fire as well as several collegiate teams for over 15 years.
Dr. Krishnan has served as a principal or co-investigator for more than 25 research trials. Additionally, he has contributed to more than 50 peer-reviewed articles.
