About Mark Goodwin, MD, President

Dr. Mark Goodwin is an interventional cardiologist at Midwest Cardiovascular Institute in Naperville.

Dr. Goodwin graduated magna cum laude with his bachelor’s degree at the University of Notre Dame in Notre Dame, Indiana. He received his medical degree from the University of Illinois in Chicago, Illinois. He also completed an executive certificate program at Northwest Kellogg Graduate School of Management in Evanston, Illinois.

Dr. Goodwin completed an internship and residency in internal medicine, and was also named associate chief resident, at Foster G. McGaw Hospital of Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, Illinois. At this same location, he also completed his fellowship in cardiovascular disease and was named chief fellow. He serves as the Director of the Structural Heart Program, the Chief of Cardiology and the Director of the Cath Lab at Edward Hospital in Naperville.

Dr. Goodwin is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, critical care medicine and endovascular medicine. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology, the Society for Cardiac Angiography, the American College of Chest Physicians and the Society for Cardiac Angiography and Interventions. He is a member of the American College of Physicians, the American Society of Internal Medicine, the Illinois State Medical Society, the International Society for Endovascular Specialists, and the Society for Vascular Medicine. He is also a member of the Philips Medical Advisory Board. He has participated in 30 research trials serving as a principal investigator and sub-principal investigator. He is also a professor at both Loyola University and Notre Dame University.
